• I'm very familiar with PA streams and own most of the books published about PA streams to fly fish. While this books lists most of the same streams, as I knew it would, I was hoping to find better maps for public access, so I took a chance and bought it. While the maps were okay in general, I was disappointed to find that the maps for the Upper Delaware section were NOT there- the book showed duplicate maps of the lower areas of the river and NONE for the upper stretches.
  
  Also, the hatch charts for the streams were pretty much duplicates. While this is understandable (there aren't that many differences in PA hatches- the times and types of insects don't vary too much), I had hoped to see some better "tips" for the better hatches on individual streams. One stream I fish and know really well is a great stream for fishing caddis flies (a well known fact for people that fish that stream regularly), but that fact was not mentioned by the author.
  
  As mentioned in some of the other reviews, this book is okay for out-of-staters, but I don't think it's going to give a PA resident fly fisher any "new" information. Try books by Dwight Landis and Charles Meck (especially Landis' book!).

• This book was his favorite of the three he got for Christmas. However, he says he would need the PA Hatches book for identifying the flies. This guide does not provide the pictures. Very informative
